Dear Sir
We learn you have more Pig Metal at the Danville Depot. Please give us an order first, & if you can spare any Scotch Pig, do let us have it (now or never). As soon as the Canal opens, we can supply some iron we think equal to “Scotch” in return for yours.
We wish you would order on your metal from Charlotte. We are using our No. 1 Gun Iron because of the want of some other – also detained by the Canal.
Yrs Truly
J. R. Anderson & Co.
