The Richmond Postoffice.

Trouble is reported to have occurred yesterday in the Richmond (Va.) postoffice, resulting in the resignation of most of the clerks of that office. From the statement made, it seems that the postmistress, Mrs. Van Lew, is charged by the employees with being a regular martinet, and does not show proper judgment, they say, as to the amount of labor the clerks should perform, requiring an unreasonable amount of work and too many hours of constant attendance to duty. Clerks have been dispatched from the Postoffice Department here to supply the place of the strikers until an investigation can be made.
