From the Richmond Enquirer, 8/8/1862
SECURE. - The officer prisoners, who escaped from confinement a few days ago, are being pursued energetically and with a strong probability of success. The two who were recaptured on the Rappahannock lines, Lieut. E. Hatch and Lieut. Masters, were locked up on Wednesday night, in a cell in the Greanor prison, but were to be released from such close confinement when other quarters can be secured for them. We understand that they will be among the last to be exchanged, if exchanged at all; if not, they will be paroled, of course, which will, no doubt, suit them better.
