Fire Damages Roof Of Tredegar Company

The roof of the machine shop at the Tredegar Company, iron manufacturers, was damaged by fire which was discovered shortly after 10 o’clock last night. Extent of the damage had not been estimated last night but was not believed to be great.

Watchman George Miller pulled the alarm box at the company’s plant, at the Canal and Sixth Street, at 10:02 P. M., bringing Engine Companies 3, 4, and 7 and Truck Company 1. The blaze was brought under control within a few minutes.
