From the Richmond Dispatch, 6/16/1862, p. 3, c. 7
ALL MEMBERS OF SAPPER AND MINER COMPANY, now absent without leave, are hereby notified to return to their camp, at Drury's Bluff, James River, immediately, or they will be published and treated as deserters. Persons members of other companies yet in the service of the Confederate States, who have been induced to join this company through misrepresentations, and who have returned to their old companies without reporting here, will please procure a certificate to that effect from their commanding officer, and forward same to me, and by so doing avoid having their names published as deserters.
