VETERANS MAKE TRIP WITH ROTARIANS TODAY
To Place Markers on Sites of Great Battles of War Between States Around Richmond.

Members of the Rotary Club, with many old veterans from Lee Camp Soldiers’ Home as guests, will leave Grove Avenue and the Boulevard at 8:30 o’clock this morning for a tour of the battlefields around Richmond. Markers will be placed at prominent points along the route, giving the names of the battles and a short description of them. These markers will prove of vast interest to tourists from other points and from Richmond as well, the Rotarians believe.

The party will go by way of Mechanicsville Turnpike, down through the Chickahominy Ridge to Cold Harbor and return by the way of the New Market Road and Osborne Turnpike. The tourists expect to get back to the city by 5 o’clock this afternoon.
