Battery No. 15 near Manchester
January 17, 1863

THIRTY DOLLARS REWARD – Will be paid for the apprehension and delivery (or lodgement in any military prison) of each or any of the following named deserters:

1. JAMES SMITH (substitute) – 6 feet high, light complexion, light hair, says he is an Englishman, and has a very feminine voice.
2. O. H. RUTLEDGE – 6 feet high, spare built, long, dark hair, moustaches and goatee, claims to be a Texan, and is about 27 years old.
3. JOHN LOUDON – short and thick set, black hair, no beard, and about 23 years old.
4. JOHN BULQUEEN (Irishman) – about 35 years old, pox-marked, and dark hair and beard.
5. ROBERT ALLEN – about 25 years old, 5 feet 11 inches high, light complexion, and light hair and moustache.
6. THOMAS J. MILLER – about 25 years old, 5 feet 6 inches high, cock-eyed, bad countenance, light hair, and no beard.
7. JAMES HARPER (drummer) – 16 years old, short and thick set, smart and good looking, and keeps well dressed.
8. JOHN HENRY (substitute) – deserted first night.
