The Virginia Cadets. – The Battalion of Va. Cadets, Lieut. Col. Ship, paraded on the Square last evening for the purpose of receiving a stand of colors from the hands of Gov. Smith. The flag, which was the ensign of our State, was presented by the Governor in an appropriate speech, after which the Battalion was reviewed by Gen. Bragg.

These ceremonies over, the Hon. Thos. S. Bocock, Speaker of the House of Representatives, addressed to the Battalion some eloquent and patriotic remarks. Both Smith's and the Armory Bands were in attendance and discoursed sweet music at proper intervals.

A large crowd, made up alike of ladies and soldiers, witnessed the ceremonies.
