PROVOST JUDGE’S COURT. – There was a pretty good attendance at the daily meeting at the Old Stone House on yesterday, and a good many cases disposed of, the most prominent of which we give:
…W. F. Ford was charged with assaulting Mary Lazarena, but proving that she was trespassing on his premises, refused to leave when ordered, assaulted him with stones, bruising him severely, and that he used no more force than was necessary to eject her, he was acquitted.
