From the Richmond Dispatch, 7/17/1862, p. 2, c. 1

STAUNTON, July 10, 1862,

EDITORS RICHMOND DISPATCH: - As the authorized Agent of the Military Hospitals of the Confederate States in the city of Richmond, I take pleasure in reporting that I have received from the ladies of the Churchville Society, in Augusta county, for the wounded soldiers of the Confederacy at the Seabrook Hospital, and have forwarded to W. H. Coffin, Surgeon in charge of said hospital, four feather pillows, one bundle of cloths, one sheet, and one box of lint.

And from the ladies of the Bethlehem Society of Augusta county, for the wounded soldiers of the Confederacy at the Central Depot Hospital, I have received and forwarded to C. D. Rice, Surgeon in charge of said hospital, on bundle of clothes, cotton, &c., and one bundle of pillows, ticks, &c., from the ladies of Barterbrook.

And from Mrs. McCue, and ladies of Mount Solon, I have received and forwarded to R. W. Lundy, Surgeon in charge of the Kent Hospital, one box containing provisions, dried fruit, and one cheese, one crock of apple butter, one bag of dried apples, one bag of onions, soap, and cotton cloths.

One bundle of cotton cloth from ladies of Fishersville.

Seven packages received from N. K. Trout, Mayor of Staunton, which were sent to him by the ladies of the country adjacent to the town of Staunton.

Delivered to me by A. S. Turk, Esq., for the Kent Hospital, for the McNutt branch of New Providence Soldiers' Aid Society, Rockbridge county, Va., a box containing bandages, lint, bread, eggs, soap, &c.

For the Seabrook Hospital, two boxes and one firkin of butter, from the Brownsburg branch of New Providence Ladies' Aid Society, Susan Withrow, President.

And for the Winder Hospital, J. R. Britton, Surgeon 4th division, one box and one bundle, from the Newport branch of the New Providence Ladies' Aid Society, Ann Martin, President.

Sent to Dr. C. D. Rice, Surgeon in charge of Central Depot Hospital, six shirts, two pairs drawers, a lot of lint and bandages, and a lot of soap, from Mrs. Capt. J. C. Webb and Miss Mattie Vanfossen, Augusta county, Va.

Received, three bundles of N. K. Trout.
