SHOOTING AFFRAY. – On Saturday last a shooting affray occurred on Bank street near Ninth, between Colonel A. C. Dunn and Captain Williams, both of whom, it appears, had been engaged on the Newport News railroad. From what we can learn from bystanders, Colonel Dunn and Captain Williams met by accident, and having an old difficulty to settle, proceeded to do so. Colonel Dunn fired one shot, and the affair terminated by the appearance of the policemen on the spot a few moments after the affray commenced. From the statements it appears that Colonel Dunn was attacked by his antagonist. Both combatants were away from the scene of the fight before the police arrived, so no arrests were made.
