THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN.

    A meeting of the Board of Aldermen was held yesterday afternoon. Present: John A. Meredith, Esq., president, in the chair, and Messrs. Bass, Carrington, Forrester, Kellam, Lipscomb, Manly, Ordway, Scott, Smith, Spangenburg, Tanner, Todd, Vandervall, Wagner, and Williams.

…FROM THE COMMON COUNCIL.

…Board joint resolution appropriating $35,000 in city bonds for the purchase of thirty-five acres of land on Chimborazo, &c., with the amendments proposed by the Common Council – viz., $20,000 instead of the $35,000 as proposed by the Board, was taken up, and, on motion of Mr. Williams, the resolution was laid on the table.
