Markets
Information about the First and Second Markets in Richmond, VA during the Civil War.

The First, or "old", market was a large building at the northwest corner of Main and 17th Streets. It extended all the way to Franklin Street.

The Second Market was on the northeast corner of Marshall and 6th Streets.

Police stations were located in each market house.
