1862-02-17, Richmond Whig; description of the funeral of Capt. O. J. Wise at St. James' Church and Hollywood Cemetery. A large number of people came to see the body while it was lying in state
1862-08-18, Richmond Whig; Gen. C. S. Winder’s body arrived and lay in state in the Capitol. He will be buried in Hollywood Cemetery.
1862-12-17, Richmond Dispatch; Maxcy Gregg’s body arrived 12/15 – placed in Provost Marshal’s office. City Battalion & Public Guard, with full band, escorted it to R&P RR depot 12/16 afternoon. Route of parade given. No Hollywood.
