DROWNED MAN FOUND IN THE DOCK. – Yesterday afternoon the body of a man, supposed to be a United States soldier, was taken from the dock, at the foot of Twenty-fourth street, opposite the York river railroad depot. The body was dressed in regimentals and heavy overcoat. His name was unknown. His body was without marks of violence, except one side of the face, which was black and blue. The remains were viewed by Dr. John P. Little, coroner, and then deposited in the dead house of the Libby for identification.
