NEGORES ATTACKED BY SOLDIERS. – Four soldiers who had been paid off, and were therefore under the influence of liquor, attacked some negroes on Main street, last evening, near Seventh street. The soldiers used rocks and brick-bats pretty freely, and had succeeded in getting one of the negroes down, when the police came in sight and gave chase. Three of the soldiers made off, but the fourth was caught by Captain Jenkins in the act of throwing a brick-bat at a negro, and was sent to the lock-up.
