An Apparent Discord.

The Tredegar Works yesterday sent to the City Hall a mammoth cuspadore as a sample of those which will hereafter – four in number – ornament the outside of the four big portals of the City Hall. The article is very unsightly, and certainly does not harmonize in the least with the general handsome appearance of the beautiful building. It certainly reminds the passer-by very vividly of the old time kettles used at chowder parties and fish stews.
