The Club’s New Home.
The historic Van Lew mansion, which was recently purchased by the Virginia Club, will be occupied by that organization about the middle of October.
This old Colonial home, with its broad hallways, winding stairs and spacious rooms opening on large wide porches supported by tall, Ionic columns, is beautifully situated high up on Church Hill, overlooking the James with a most extensive prospect stretching far out into Chesterfield county.
The extensive grounds are being cleared and put in order, and the whole place is beginning to present a most attractive appearance.
