CHARGED PILOTTING AVERILL. - Dr. A. L. Wiley, of Craig county, was, on yesterday, committed to Castle Thunder, on the charge of pilotting Averill during his raid on Selma. Dr. Wiley was in Richmond on a visit, when information was lodged against him with General Winder, but before his whereabouts could be discovered, he had left the city. Chief of Police McCubbin telegraphed to Lynchburg, and there he was arrested and brought to the city. Before his committal to Castle Thunder, he had a preliminary examination before Commissioner Carrington, of Gen. Winder's Department.
