SUFFERERS BY THE FIRE. – Each successive day brings to our mind some omissions in the list of parties who suffered a loss of property by the late conflagration in this city. This morning we note the loss sustained by Dr. J. H. Hartman, dentist, whose office was located on south Main street, between 14th and 15th, over George Ruskell’s trimming store. Dr. H. was unable to save a single article of office furniture, or even clothing, save what he had on at the time. He, however, succeeded in getting away his instruments and carrying them to a place of safety; but subsequently they were spirited off by some person, either through design or by mistake, and have not since been heard from. They were of superior quality, and as his profession is all he has to rely on for support, the party having them would do a good thing by returning them to him, at Dr. Geo. B. Steel’s office, on Main street, above Spotswood Hotel. A reward will be given if necessary.
