DIED.

...On the 9th of November, 1862, at Castle Thunder, Richmond, Va., after three days illness, C. H. L'Esteange, of Cheshire, England.

After a confinement of nine months as a State prisoner in the various tobacco warehouses of Richmond his fearless spirit surrendered to Death on the above day. In the hope that this notice may reach some of his friends at home, it has been inserted by his fellow-prisoners of the citizens' room at Castle Thunder.

None saw him but to praise."
